Hello, I think I have one of those original prints of Hartford high by Helen A. Hazelton. Do you know what it’s worth? Thinking of donating it. Would your museum like to have it? If not whom? We are cleaning out my mother in laws home. Her name is Ann Louise mortenson Swanson. She graduated from Hartford high probably around 1950? She always had it hanging by her front door. My name is patty Swanson. I live in West Hartford. I look forward to hearing back from someone. Thank you.

Hello, Patty. Thank you for thinking of the HPHS Museum. Ann Louise graduated in 1953. We have a framed copy of the original silk handkerchief by Hazelton and several copies of prints. I never had the original assessed. Many people bought them in 1963. I live in W. Hartford also. My work at the HPHS Museum is as a volunteer. R. J. Luke Williams

Wondering who the assistant principal (female) was in 1956-57? She was an older woman, gray hair in a bun. Was there a girl’s dean, principal during that time?

Mr. Weidlich, I believe you are thinking of Martha L. Hanf. She was Dean of Girls.

Can you point me in the direction of who might have student information from the early 1890’s? I’m looking for information on Alice Bradley Williams of Rocky Hill.

Steven, there was an Alice S. Williams, graduated in 1890, died in 1913. Is that the same? Please respond to <hphs55@sbcglobal.net Mr. Williams

    Hello,
I have an autograph book filled out by the graduating class of 1950. Would you be interested in this item?

I hope someone can answer this question. I attended HPHS from 1963-1965. At that time I was a member of the Hartford Inter-High Choir led by Dr. Elmer Hintz. I was wondering if you have any pictures of us from back then in your archives. If you do is there any way you could e-mail me copies. Also, every Christmas we would go to the TV station and they would video our Christmas Concert. Have you any way to find out if they still exist and if so could you tell me how to get copies. I have contacted others and have gotten no results. I hope you can help.

    Thank you,
